Káldi – at the request of Péter Pázmány – began to translate the Holy Bible in 1605 and completed it in two years. His work was the first Hungarian Catholic Bible translation and was first published in 1626. In more than two centuries, it had only three editions.
Slightly worn, contemporary half leather. The title page is paper-backed, and the edges of the following three leaves are also restored. Most of the pages have faint foxing.
